Word 2007 Annoying Problem

Whenever I close Word 2007, even a blank document, I get the "M/S Word has
encountered a problem and needs to close" error. It then automatically
restarts and can keep going like that endlessly until or unless the
'automatic restart' box is unticked. It's driving me nuts.
This problem has developed recently for no reason I can determine. Office
diagnostics does locate any problem with my installation, which was the
'subscription' version.
Any suggestions please.

The first thing to try is to remove all add-ins and test. If that solves
the problem, and you need or want the functionality of any of the
add-ins, try adding each one and testing after each addition. To begin,
have a look here
