I've had trouble closing MSWord properly. Every time I close, the message box
"Microsoft Office has stopped working...." then it begins to restart.

My cursor/mouse can't left-click or right-click/select anything in the
typing area, scroll bar on the right and margins but it can interact with all
the other objects in the Ribbon bar, basically, everything but the part where
you can type. But, I can use the keyboard Ctrl+A (and it allows me to select
all the text).

Anybody seen this before? I think an auto-update started this.

I'm having the same problem.  I even re-installed my software and the problem
is still there.  Did you find a solution?  Thanks.

It is almost certainly interaction with an incompatible third party add-in.
See the FAQ as suggested.
