I converted a document (Word 2003) from compatibility mode into Word 2007,
successfully and it won't let me save the Document, after I've  made a few
changes.  I got a File Permission error. I did put in a new graphic.  Help
and thank you in advance.

It sounds as tough it may be partially corrupt. Open the document and use
SaveAs selecting RTF as the format. Close the document, reopen it and now
use SaveAs and choose docx format. Does that resolve the problem?

If not. please let us know what OS version you are using, have you installed
all servicepacks for Office and your OS and are you on a standalone PC or on
a networked device with a shared store?

Thanks for esponding Terry!  I magically solved the problem by giving the
file a little different name (change word sequence) and then was able to save
it.

I will remember your suggestion here and if it occurs again, I'll try that.

I do have a stand alone PC, everything is up to date, Windows XP as OS and
recently bought- 3 months ago- and installed Microsoft Office Professional
2007.

Again many thanks for your answer.

Well that's an acceptable workaround. If you have any more problems, just
come back here with a new post.
