The .asd files are AutoRecovery backup files, which Word should open by
default the next time you start the program. But only Word can open them;
you can't.

Suzanne,
I think Word tried and failed. I don't clearly remember what happened,
since I didn't know what SHOULD happen.
Is there a way to get Word to try again?
Thanks,
Dean

I don't think so. Every now and then AutoRecovery just doesn't function as
it should, unfortunately.

Well, out of two failures Word2007 is batting 0. Are there any known
problems in this area?
Thanks,
Dean
