Can't open docx file, because of content error

I have a Word 2007 (docx) file that open and keeps giving me the message "The
Office Open XML file h2 cannot be opened because there are problems with the
contents." When I click Details, I get "unspecified error" and "Location:
Part: /word/document.xml, Line: 2, Column: 4999535". The only content error I
can think of is that I'm using the Table of Contents and Index features and I
tried to get the document to index a word and a phrase containing that word,
so it might be trying to index the index code, except it wouldn't say Line 2
if that were the problem.
How can I open the file to at least try to see/fix the problem and/or how
can I fix the problem?

From the File, Open dialog, choose the Open and Repair option (from the
little arrow adjacent to the OPEN button).

That doesn't work. I get the same error message and it won't open.

Word 2007 docx files are actually a set of individual component files zipped
up. If you change the extension from .docx to .zip, you will be able to open
the file with an unzipper such as WinZip. You will then find the damaged
file that is being referred to in the error message.

The broken file can be opened and corrected by someone familiar with xml:
but that isn't me. If the file is important, you will need to find a Word
expert to do the work for you.
