can't edit objects after created

in office 2003, it gives me an "you don't have enough
access privileges to edit this object".
it happens on equation editor, powerpoint slides etc...

what is this?

If you use Norton AV then go to Norton Options and in the
Miscellaneous section turn off: "Enable Office Plug-in".
