Just upgraded from Word 97 to Word 2000. on WIN 98 SE
I managed to soleve the "requesting virus scan" hassle at startup but every time I
open Word 200 & close it - even without doing a thing - I get the message that the
global template has changed & do I want to save the changes......
I accepted it once (after BU normal.dot) but it happens on every occurence.
Checked the FAQ but no luck there.
Any ideas
Thanks
This is most likely the result of an add-in. See

You were correct (per usual). It was the WFWORD2K.DOT file that was installed &
causing the problem. I moved all the DOT files that were in STARTUP to a backup
folder & moved them back 1 by 1. Of course, it as the last one!
Thanks

Yeah, that's the WinFax add-in, another notorious troublemaker.
