I updated Microsoft Word 2000 with the latest fix and
sense then, whenever I open a new document I get this pop
up Microsoft Visual Basic Run-Time error `-2147467259
(80004005)`:
Method "Controls" of object "commandBarPopup" failed.

I will be using Word to create guides and the files will
be put through Webworks to create Help. Is this a
problem, or can I ignore the nucance?

Try a Detect and Repair in the Help menu in Word. Make
sure that you have the original Software CD handy.

See if that helps. From there you may need to search
Knowledge base.
