Although PDFMaker may have been uninstalled at sometime, it has left behind
an add-in that is affecting Word. Check for any macros or add-in and simply
remove it. It is most like the PDFMaker template that is normally in Word
Start-up folder.

after updating office xp, I get an error message (you have
a version of PDFMaker installed that causes instability in
Word)
I downloaded the "fix" that is supposed to update PDFMaker
but I get the message (there is no product installed to up
date). A search of my hard drive finds no PDF files.
What can I do? If I buy Adobe Acrobat 6.0 and install it,
will that take care of the problem? Is there anything else
I can do?
Bill
Thanks, Terry. That did the trick. I deleted the Word
file named PDFMaker and all is OK.
If I buy and install Acrobat 6, will that reinstall a
workable version of PDFMaker in Word?
