Error opening Word 2000

I have Word 2000 sr1 that came with my computer and
Microsoft Works Suite 2001. Using Windows ME. When I
try to open Word I get " Winword has caused an error
in Winword.exe. Winword will now close." I have
reinstalled Word and Works Suite. I have also run the
repair on Word but no help. Anyone know a fix?

Word now is working. Thank you
