Platform: Apple Mac OSX.3 (panther)
Application: Office X, Word
Problem: When I attempt to launch word, it opens a document (after
showing the gallery dialog window) and then crashes. The file will open
for a moment, then the app. crashes.

Current attempts at fixing:
1. Reloaded Office X and installed all current updates to 10.1.5
2. Found and deleted conflicting fonts across system and user font
collections.

Still no luck. Anyone have a suggestion as to how I should proceed in
my trouble shooting?

I know little of the MAC (other than hearsay!), but in WinWord I'd suspect a
corrupt printer driver. But as Andre suggests, you would get more expert
advice posting this in a Word MAC group.

I think the best newsgroup to get a possible answer to this question is the
microsoft.public.word.macword98 or microsoft.public.word.macword2001.

Hope this helps
