Word 2002 "You can not save while the file is in use by another
process."
Help.
Does anyone have a resolution for this besides "Renaming documents"
and "clear the Save AutoRecover info every...", because these are not
options the company can (or are willing to do)in our XP environment.
**Although we do not use % in the file name, ! is sometimes a part of
it.

Hi Jinev,

IIRC even though the KB article you found indicates the percent (%)
others have encountered the same issue when using other symbols in the
file name. If you rename the file and remove the exclamation point (!)
and the error goes away then I'd say that is indeed the problem.

In which case the company needs to be willing to do something such as
rename their files since I'd say AutoRecovery is a little more
important. :-)
