I have a word doc created in word 2000.
I am unable to open it in word 2003 unless I open with
repeair, at which time, it reports 5 errors

Internal Data Integrity (Type 4) 1
Internal Data Integrity (Type 4) 2
Styles 1
Styles 2
Styles 3

Is there any known thing that I can do in word 2000 to
prevent this from happening?

Thanks in advance

Hi Lyall,

Word 2003 uses a different method for opening a file and you could be
encountering an issue with documents containing older ClipArt which
was corrected in the Office 2003 SP-1 patch. Try installing it and see
if it rectifies the problem.

If it doesn't then they have encountered this issue and are attempting
to resolve the problem. In this case using the Open and Repair is the
only option at this time.
