I did work on word at the beginning of the year, I saved my work to a floppy
disc and checked that it was all saved correctly!! I now need the important
files from that disc but after inserting my disc into my computer and
clicking on any of the files all I am getting is a lot of jumbled text> If
you click quick view I can get some of the file in normal format but not alot
of it can anyone help advise me on how to get my files back to normal??

If you trawl this forum you'll see there are several posts a week about how
saving directly to or opening directly from a floppy almost inevitably
corrupts the document.

Copy the files from floppy to hard drive. Try opening it normally on the
hard drive. If that fails, try opening it using the 'Recover text from any
file option' You'll lose all formatting and pick up a lot of junk, but with
luck you'll rescue the text. If that fails too, discard the floppy and start
again.
