There are agents and publishers in several states now
awaiting a promised manuscript, which might become a best
seller. But they're being disappointed, because my Dell-PC
with Microsoft's Millenium Edition operating system
attached has decided not to allow me to pursue my chosen
profession at this point.
For the last four days I've tried without success to
access the text, which is in "My Documents." And, when I
try, the system locks me out of everything else. I see
messages of all sorts; the most common is "The system is
dangerously low on resources." Except, I know it isn't. I
have more than adequate space on my hard drive, and more
than enough memory. Why is Bill Gates allowed to put me
out of business? Because he's afraid of being sued if my
computer crashes? Best regards to all, Bob Mills

Well, Well Robert - Are YOU having a rough Trot?
Now I sense (and understand) an underlying sense
of frustration, that is not helping you and is not
helping us!
We are in danger also of getting frustrated - and
walking away!!!!
Y'know - some hard info would really help:-
What are you NOW attempting to do?
Edit, mail, attach ...............???
Can you open/edit/print etc in Word?????
What is the structure (Master/sub-docs)???
What is/are the size(s)????
Can you copy it??
Can you ZIP and/or UNZIP it reliably???
How many OTHER programs/services etc
are running???
Why are you SO SURE that resources are
ok (e.g. Virtual Memory, Graphics etc)??
What happens if you STOP all programs
shown in the SYSTRAY, and any
unnecessary services????
How the HECK did you CREATE it, if
you can't access it????
When COULD you last access it????
Wha'd'ya mean 'the system locks me.....'?
Does it freeze/hang? Does it Crash? WHATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT?
Could the problem be DELL???
Ye get m'drift??
Yer Regards 'r appreciated!
