to read one and add bits to another that is opened).

many thanks for your response.  the windows documents when opened are not
maximized and their size can be altered. but when i go to open another
windows document it sits directly on top of the previous opened one, exactly
the same size. and when the top one is moved the one underneath travels with
it and remains hidden.

this problem is limited only to word documents since other displays will sit
happily alongside each other on the desktop.

if the top word document is closed the one underneath disappears also. i
really do
need to have two different word document opened at the same time.

any ideas please?

thanks  john west
> Presumably the documents are opening maximized. Restore them (or use
Arrange
> All on the Window menu), and you should be able to see both.
