Converting PDF to Word?

Is there a way to do this? For free? I need to convert a pdf file t
Word so that i can edit it. I am in a bind and do not want to have t
retype the whole document.

G'Day Chad,

As always "free" is the issue.

If you have a scanner, investigate the OCR (Optical Character
Recognition) Software that came with it.

I use ABBYY Finereader, which will open PDF files for "recognition"
and will send them to Word.

A search for "pdf to word" will give you dozens of offerings, with a
price tag of $US30 to $US50 or so.
