Converting Power Point to Word

Hello,
I'm using XP home edition with windows xp.  I have someone who sent me a
word file that has been converted from power point.  I have some lines that
appear as text and can be formatted the way I need.  My problem is that some
of the slides have come over as pictures even though they are filled with
text.  What I need to do is change the "picture" to text if at all possible,
by either formatting or cutting and pasting and I can't seem to figure out
how to do it simply.  My other option is to retype the "picture slides" to
regular text but this seems like double duty.

Any suggestions?

Thank you,
Christle

I assume you don't have PowerPoint? Can you contact the person who created
the file?

Actually I do have power point, she had just sent it to me already as a word
document.  Is there a way to save it as text only from power point to word so
it can be formatted all in the same font size and style?  I can have her
resend me the file in power point version.  Thank you so much for your time.

I don't know that. My experience with PPT is minimal. If you had the
PowerPoint presentation you could strip it out easily. Is there a reason why
if you both have PPT, that she sent it as a Word doc?

She's doing a presentation for a class so did the power point document, but
is also required by the class to give out notes in a word document.  This is
why I got it in the word format.  What do you mean by "strip it out"?  My
power point experience is less than minimal, so you're one step ahead of me
:)  Thank you again for your time.

Copy and paste should work.
