conversion dialog at url open

is there any way to avoid the conversion dialog box (say, set a default
conversion) when opening a file from a url with the file being a text file?

any information regarding this would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried this?  Tools - Options - General, and remove the check next
to "Confirm conversion at open".
