Hi;
I have to select all italic text in some document. Is there such a
possibility in word?

It depends on what version of Word you're using. In Word 2003, for example,
choose Edit - Find. Clear any text in Find what: and with the insertion
point in that box, press Ctrl+I. Click to enable "Highlight all items found
in:", then click Find All.
