I receive a Word Perfect file (*.wpd) and when I attempt to open it in Word
2003, I get an error window that says "file may be corrupt, do you want to
continue?"  I click YES and only a portion of file opens.
I've sent the file back to person I got it from & they can open it in WP
with no problem.
Any thing I can do on my end?  I'm opening it as a Word Perfect 6x file per
the Help instructions.

First, the file must be saved to your hard drive and not be an email
attachment or on removable media.

Second, if that isn't the problem, see if the person who sent it can send it
in .rtf format instead.

Charles,
That didn't work as I've tried your 1st method before.  Second method, I
hope I can get them to put in *.rtf format.

Or try having them send it in a .zip file. Binary files have a way of losing
bits that are needed when sent through email.

Unfortunately the person that sends me the file is not computer savvy so
I'll have a hard enough time telling them how to send it as an attachment.
Last year I was able to open a *.wpd file in Word okay.  Not now though.
