Converting old win Help files to new available formats!

Is there any useful tool that can be used to convert all kinds of HELP files
(like .chm, .hlp, ...) to one the newer formats like:

.XPS
.doc
.docx
.rtf
.pdf

Hi Leon,

It's not clear what you're looking to achieve.  None of the formats in your 2nd list are Help formats.  You may want to check with
the folks in the MS Help cration discussion group using the link below.

I want to extract contents of the help files because most of the file
formats are going to be obsolete!
I dont want to convert a help file from a format to another I just want to
convert help files to Text Documents to save their contents in another
format worth keeping in backup Disks!
