You can update MS Works v4 to v4.5 from
 http://www.microsoft.com/products/works/homepages/ProductUpdates.asp
(It's listed as the Year 2000 update)

I have a slew of files on a mac in mac works 4.0 format
that I need to get on a pc running works 4.0

I can do it one at a time by saving the docs on the mac to
word format. Is there a batch converter available?
