My daughter uses Word 98 for Macintosh and I can't open
documents that she sends me using Word 2000. None of my
conversions seem to work. Am I missing something?

Hi A.M.,

Word 98:mac and Word2000:win share the same basic
file format although there can be some issues with
graphics.

What happens when you try to open them?

Is the file named with a .DOC file type ending?

Are you saving these to disk from an email attachment
prior to opening them?
