Hi Becky,
MS Office XP has an 'unbind' utility that is an optional
installation choice. It separates out the individual
files in a binder.
If your Binders are primarily Word documents you can
use RD fields or Hyperlinks as one possibility.

While the Office97 or Office 2000 binder utilities
can be installed and used 'as is' with Office XP
I've not tested the initial release that was in
Office 7/95.
How do you use MS Office Binders in your organization?
=====
Next week our office is moving from Office 95 to Office
XP. I have a large selection of binder files that I am
not sure how to convert so that I can use them in XP. I
know that XP does not support Binder Files and that an
error message will come up when I try to open the files,
so I would like to convert them to something useable
before the conversion starts. Can someone help me? >>

To Bob Buckland... We use binders for our procedure
manuals which can be accessed on a multi-use server within
our organization by different people. I am actually doing
some revisions in the binder at this time... and as I
speak we have just received XP last night and now I can't
open our binders. You can email me directly at...
bsynowec@epcor.ca or my phone number is 780-412-3189. I
really appreciate the help. We are on a pilot program
within our organization and I think that this will be a
problem that will be popping up all over the organization
during the rollout early in 2004.
Thanks Becky
