As my computer is not working, I am using my brother's for homework for my classes. Unfortunately, the only word processor he has is wordpad. Word will open those files directly, ie any conversion seems to be built in. In fact, I have my associations set to open those files (when double clicking on them in explorer) with Word rather than with Wordpad.
