Howdy,

I am working with a set of files that were orginally created using WordPerfect. A few years ago they were converted to Word 97 without problem. We have now upgraded to WordXP and are having formatting issues. It appears that certain tables have widths that are greater than the page width which results in text that is not viewable. Has anyone had similar problems? Can anyone recommended a somewhat automated solution? We are working with hundreads of documents and would prefer not having to open each file and correct the formatting. Your help is greatly appreciated

Thanks,
Jason

I don't know if this will help in your particular situation but it worked
for me.  When WordPerfect tables are converted to word they seem to have a
smaller inside margin which results in some text, usually just a couple
characters of a word, being cut off at the right margin.  You only see this
happen if the cell is fully justified.  Changing it to left justification
fixes it.  If changing the justification is not an option, then you will
have to change the default inside margins in the table.
