I have some old documents in an old word processor
"Professional Write" (by SPC Software Publishing)that
I would like to convert to Word format.  Is this possible?

Yes. StarOffice will read a Profession Write document in, and write
the same document out in a Word file type. Of course, this invlolves
"two" conversion steps, so expect some errors or things that don't
convert just right.
