My margins are set for .5" all around. Even if I set them for 1" or 1.5" or
anything else, the right tex boundary keeps showing itself shorter than the
right margin setting.
Now I'm desperate. I've taken a photo of my screen showing the text
boundary line and showing the ruler with the margin setting. Maybe I'm just
not describing it right. http://members.shaw.ca/radioisme select the file
"screen shot".
Thanks for your ongoing help.
It is obvious from your "screen shot" that (a) you don't know how to take a
screen shot (PrintScreen) and (b) the text boundary is something other than
the margin. True text boundaries are dotted lines (this one looks solid) and
will extend to connect to the "crop marks" in the corners (which I imagine
you may be seeing because you have an Asian language enabled and not because
you have text boundaries displayed). My guess is that what you're dealing
with here is a text box, and the line (at least in this fuzzy photo) looks
like the default border of a text box.
FWIW, you obviously also have "Click and type" enabled--don't know whether
that's relevant or not.

That's right, I don't know how to take a screen shot, but like I said, I'm
desperate!
I have now figured it out.
The lines around the text boundary are dotted when I expand my view to
200%+. They only appeared after I followed your suggestion to view the text
boundary. I am able to move them to match my right margin, but I have to do
that with every new document I open.
I don't have asian languages enabled, as far as I can tell...I checked my
language settings in Microsoft Office Tools...it's set for English -Canadian.
I don't have a text box open either. Every new document I open has the same
margin settings.
I'm thinking I should just reinstall office and see where that takes me.
I appreciate your help.
