About 2 days ago, it started that highlighting and right clicking copy in an
e-mail message or web page would not then right click paste into a Wrod
document.    Neither does selecting copy and paste from toolbar or Ctrl V on
keyboard.

I thought was a mouse issue - new mouse is same.

I have checked the tools>options>edit settings on the word document and they
all seem fine.

Now here is the real kicker - when I try to copy in the other direction..
highlight and right click something in a word document and go to paste it in
another word file or in outlook express, it is the same link I copied two
days ago.     Something is hung up in the word program.

Help appreciated.    Ruth

When I try to

Hi Ruth,

There's a Big Three for Strange Behavior like this. Try these in the order
given.

1. Rename (all instances of) Normal.dot (find them with Windows Explorer, be
sure to have Word closed at the time), or
2. Choose Help | Detect and repair, or
3. Reinstall Word.

Good luck,
Cooz

FWIW, reinstalling Word rarely helps because it does not touch the actual
Big Three: Normal.dot, the Registry, add-ins.
