I've gone to options and ensured the default font color is black. I have
refilled my black ink cartridge. But every envelope I print comes out in red
(actually, more of a fuschia pink).  What am I doing wrong?

And your other documents print in black?

Is your black cartridge dried out? How about your cyan and yellow?

For reasons unknown, some printers use a composite black (made up of the
colors in your color cartridge or cartridges) rather than true black from
the black cartridge to print envelopes and other small documents. When
envelopes start printing red (or green or some other color), it usually
indicates an imbalance of inks in the color cartridge(s).

BTW, the color you describe as fuchsia is "magenta," one of the three ink
colors (the others are cyan and yellow).
