When I open File, New on MS Word 2003, the template view pops up to hte right
of the screen with all kinds of options (view templates online, etc.)--I only
want to see my tabbed "my computer" templates (I never use any others).  This
was the default on MS Word 2002  Any ideas how to get what I need?

From the Tools menu, select Customize and then go to the commands tab and
select the All Commands category and locate the File New Dialog command in
the list of commands.   Click and drag that onto a toolbar.  What I have
done then is to right click on the new blank document button and from the
pull down, select the copy button image item, then right click on the "Other
..." on the toolbar (the item that you dragged onto it and then use the
paste button image to paste the new blank document button image onto it.
Then use the Edit button image to put what looks like a few lines of text on
it to indicate that it is for starting a new document from a template rather
than a blank document.
