The directions at Microsoft's website state to open Tools/Download to install
the pdf add-in.  There is no Download option under Tools.  The instructions
were not specific enough.  Can anyone help?

Thanks.

There is no tools menu in Word 2007.
Click on the Office button menu, then go to Save As, move your cursor to
the little arrow on the right of it and select the PDF/XPS one (it
should say something like get it, download it).
Or just go to my RTM issues page (linked below) and find the direct link
to the download there

I have already done what both of you have suggested before submitting my
question.  The instructions at the site do not tell me where to install it.
Just Tools/Downloads.  I have the download, now how do I install it?

I just ran it and it went fine.

1) you get the page that checks your software

2) you get the download page

3) you DO NOT save it but you RUN it right from the download

4) it walks straight through

I had word running and the download was working after the download without
having to shut down or restart

then you "save" the document or "save as"

The little box at the bottom says "save as"  drop down box to select "PDF"

Hope that helps

The key was:  you have to be using IE to install it per your instructions.  I
prefer not to use IE and the instructions were not the same for Firefox.

Thanks for your help.
