I loaded saveasPDFandXPS.exe addin for word 2007. When I review the resulting
PDF file, it is formatted great for a printing, but the file is not PDF
indexed. Did I fail to do something or is the output PDF file not indexed?

I'm not _quite_ familiar with the term "indexed" for PDF files, but the
answer is most probably "no" anyway. The settings are few when creating
a PDF through the Add-In (certainly very few compared to the full
version of Acrobat).
