I recently installed Office Home and Student 2007.  There is no icon on my
desktop for Word. When I go to Start/Programs and go to MS Office, Word is
not there either.  The other programs are there.  I know that I have Word
because I can open Word docs that were previously saved.   Any ideas?  Thanks.

You can create a new shortcut for MS Word by going to Computer, Double-click
the C:/, then Program Files, then Microsoft Office, then Office12, scroll
until you WINWORD (Application). Right-click it and select Send To, then
click Desktop, which will create a shortcut. You can rename the shortcut on
the desktop by right-clicking it and selecting rename.
