When I type in a paragraph, and I want to go back and change somthing in it,
it replaces the letter in front of what i tried to chnage. So then i have to
re-write my WHOLE paragraph becuase it cuts over what i write.
I need to find a solution so i can chnage this. Is there anyway it can be
fixed??

You are in Overtype mode instead of Insert mode.
Double-click the OVR button in the status bar (the bottom of the window) or
press the Insert key on the keyboard once.
