hou can i cahange the formatting for a caption ?

If you want to replace one caption with another, say a figure caption with a
table caption, delete the existing caption and insert a new one.

If you want to change the formatting of text, do it the same way you modify
other text in the document. To change the formatting of all captions in one
step, modify the Caption paragraph style.

If you are trying to do something else, post back with details.
