why does the save as icon pop up everytime i type a word

hello i have a major problem and its really affecting my work. every time i
accses word be it an old or new document eveytime i type a single word the
save as aplication appears and the only way to get rid of it is to press
escape. and the cycle continues . how do i stop this from happening. i have
tried changing the automatic saving features but still this did not work.
