I often have to tell spellcheck to 'ignore' when using Word 2007. Every time
I re-open the doc I have to re-command it to ignore the same words (Proper
Names, or slang). Is there a way to make this permanent, other than adding
the words into the dictionary?

well, that would probably be the proper approach (unless you are
positive that theses words only bother you in this very document).
But for a finer solution, you can simply select these words and (older
versions) assign them a language like Mongolian where you're sure you
don't have any proofing tools installed anyway, or simply uncheck "Check
Spelling and Grammar."
