Is there a way of accepting all tracked Formatting changes in one fell swoop
but leave the text changes there? Thanks, Grainne

It would take lots of planning and self-control, but you could make
all your formatting changes in the first pass, then change the
username (just the first line in Tools > Options > User Information)
and do your editing changes. Then you'll have two different colors of
balloons and changes, and you can select which ones to display or
accept.

But I don't think you can distinguish between them retrospectively.

Yes. On the Reviewing Toolbar, in the Show list, make sure Formatting is
selected and Insertions and Deletions is not selected. THen click the
down arrow next to the Accept button and select Accept all Changes

You can record a macro to accept formatting changes and assign it to a
toolbar or keyboard shortcut.
