Word 2003 let you open a Style Arew in the margin to the left of your
document in Normal View.  You could get to it through Tools\Options\Outline
and Normal Options.

Can't seem to find it in Word 2007.

Is it still there?

Thanks,

You can still display the style area in Outline View and Draft View
(formerly Normal View).

Click the Office Button to display the Office menu
Click Word Options to display the Word Options dialog box
In the left pane, click Advanced
Scroll down to the Display area
In the box following Style area pane width in Draft and Outline views: enter
an amount and unit of measure such as .8"
Click OK
