I have a document created on Word 2002.  After upgradeing to Word 2007 the
end of the document changed.  The last page was replaced with what appears to
be several blank pages, each one being about a half inch high.  I tried to
delete them by highlighting the last line of the last good page and scrolling
down. The first blank page I come to just scrolls to the right by itself when
I try to highlight it, then the cursor jumps back to where I started.  I am
unable to delete the end of the document in order to correct it.  Where did
these small blank pages come from?  How do I get rid of them?

Have you tried Open and Repair?
