Table column settings

I created a table with multiple rows and two columns.  The default separation
of splitting the columns right down the middle works fine for most rows, but
I need to space some of the others differently.  Some need more space on the
left, others on the right.  How do I change the split for individual rows so
it does affect the rows above or below and retains the same margins I have
already specified.

Select the entire row before dragging the column boundary.

I had a feeling it was something very simple.

Thank you Suzanne.
