How to create template for HTML opened in Word?

Is there a way to have Word recognize HTML and load a specific template load
whenever an HTML page is opened in MS-Word? My CAD/CAM system creates shop
documentation for CNC programs in HTML format, with embeded graphics of the
toolpath, the tool list, etc. I edit the HTML document (Not the source) and
then print. I need to set margins, etc., but the only way I've found is to
edit the "Normal.dot" template, which then makes it abnormal for letters, etc.
Any suggestions? TIA

This has been laying here a couple of days now without any help.
It appears to me that your attempting to do something that Word is not
capabale of.

An alternative "might" be in the use of "Front Page" (no longer
distributed).
1) Open the Word doc and copy and past the Word portion into FP and the
formating and settings will be imposed.
2) determine the location that you desire CAD/CAM portion and insert a
<DIV></DIV>
3) then copy and paste your CAD/CAM data into that DIV.

There are many custom software's for CNC's and exploring options outside
the sources of your machines maufacture may be a wisier choice for a
solution.
In addition there are some very complicated CAD software's that were
previously available under shareware titles, however in reality a
professional CAD software (expensive) is likely the most effective
solution.

Don, thanks for the reply. That does not help. I am using Unigraphics NX-4
which is definitely a high-end CAD/CAM system. I have edited the TCL file to
put out the HTML like I want it for various operations, but have to edit the
output as usually it adds a new tool each time I repeat an operation at
another location.
There are a couple other things that have to be edited, depending on the
target CNC. Then, I append the G-code listing and print. I set up
"html.dot" with the margins I need and load my HTML into it in Word. I was
hoping there is some way Word could automatically load a different template
based on the file extension so when I select Word in the Open With drop-down
it could select the correct template.

Word is not the best tool for html and especially what your
attempting to accomplish.

Front Page will allow you to view the page in both a standard format
(quite similar to what you "might" see in Word) and then switching to HTML
display, which would then allow you to insert html where ever you choose.

There's very little support for html/Word pages as that primary focus was
never MS's intention, rather html was simply intended as a tranport package
to assure the functionality of returming Word/HTML back into its original
Word format.

the OE4 updates:

One of the pages (if still existent) offered specific instructions for
installing FPE on OS newer than Win98 while retaining functionality.
