A PA in my company has tracked changes in Word 2007.  The document was
changed by various staff, with their amendments showing in different colours.
She changed the settings in the document so all changes were shown by all
editors in one colour and saved.  Anytime she opens the document the changes
are in only one colour but if she emails it to anyone else the changes are in
various colours. Can anything be done  so that anyone who opens the document
as the same view as she has ie only one colour?

Thanks

This is a local setting. Each user has a choice of colors, including "By
Author."

Hi Lad,

The settings for track changes are set by each user for their preferences, including colors, use of balloons for changes vs
comments, Display for Review  choice, etc.  Those settings generally do not travel with the document.

If you're in Word 2007 and create a new document with the changes from
use Office Button=>Prepare=>Inspect Document to remove only the Properties/Personal information data then all of the changes, when
the document is reopened, will be labeled as being by 'Author' or not labeled at all and then all of the changes will be a single
color set, but that color set is still mainly controlled by the viewer.
