Hi

I have alread posted this but it ended up on a mac group.

I have many old Word 2 files and am using Office 2007 so can't acess them.
I'm looking for how to open n individual file and how to bulk convert them to
a later format.

The old Word for DOS converter which you can grab from my web site should
open them.
The filter will produce a security warning so bulk conversions are somewhat
problematical as there does not appear to be a way to cancel the warning.
You may as well save them as you need  to use them.

Dear Graham

Thanks for responding. I downloaded the Word (for DOS) converter for Word
and unzipped it but don't know how to use it. Will you explain?

Did you read the information relating to the filters on the web page from
which you downloaded it? If the filter is installed in the correct folder it
should allow you to open files of that type in Word. Word should be able to
recognize files it can handle and apply the correct filter. If it doesn't
then set Word 2007 to prompt for the converter - Office Button > Word
Options > Advanced > General > Confirm file format conversion on open.
