Convert Pocket PC Word files?

I've managed to get all of my files off of a virtually dead Pocket PC; but
during the transfer these documents weren't converted to Word docs - so they
are still PPC docs... When I try to open them, Word takes over, but the doc
doesn't open.
Any hints on how I can convert these Pocket Word docs, after they have been
transferred into my PC?
