If the text you want to make subscript or superscript is already typed in the
document, then select it and press either Ctrl+= to make it subscript or
Ctrl+Shift+= to make it superscript. These are keyboard shortcuts for going into
the Format > Font dialog and checking the corresponding box.
If you're about to type some text that you want subscript, you can press Ctrl+=
first, type the subscript, and then press Ctrl+= again to stop subscripting (and
a similar procedure works for superscripts).

Select the text that u want to have it as super/subscript and now go to
Format->
Font-> here u wil find Effects here check the super or subscript box
........... and click ok........... that's it
