How do I display or cancel the display of the text boundary markers in each
of the four corners of a document in Word 2003?

I am not sure whether you refer to the text boundaries (displayed ad dotted
lines around the margins - not only in the corners). In that case, select
Tools > Options > View tab and select/deselect the Text boundaries option.
