microsoft office word disappeared from my computer. when i search for it, it comes up nadda. but it shows up with my files i have saved. how can i get it back on my desk top Either repair or re-install Word from the original disc. However, the installation does not put a link to Word on your desktop. You would have to create a shortcut to Winword.exe on the desktop e.g. by copying it from Start > All Programs > Microsoft Office.
